What is Akuttujuuk? When this network was being formed, we put a call out to the first few members asking for name suggestions. All the names were voted on, and the winner was chosen.

Akuttujuuk is the Inuktut name for the two stars that appear above the horizon, and were used to tell that daylight would be start to get longer. The stars are a sign of hope for warmer days and of plenty.
